What Is a Hex?

A Hex is a geographic area defined using the H3 geospatial indexing system.

The H3 system operates at multiple resolutions. In the Network Builder, Hexes use H3 resolution 5, meaning each Hex covers approximately 252 square kilometers. Hexes act as operational boundaries for network planning, auctions, and mapping.
